IJN Ishizuchi by Turbofurby IJN Ishizuchi by Turbofurby
Another cool shot I got, this time of the Ishizuchi. Unlike the Wyoming that I posted. The Ishizuchi does not exist nor has any ship in the Japanese Navy ever used this name. In reality, this ship is essentially an early type for the later Kongo-Class Fast Battleships. The ship has a British designed origin calling for ten 305mm guns on five double turrets but in 1911 the plans were altered to feature eight 360mm guns on four double turrets, which in 1912 would bring forth the Kongo. The Ishizuchi is essentially the original plans for the Kongo before the gun and turret change.

The info for the Kongo says 356, the description for the Ishizuchi on the wiki says 360 and I was just rolling from what the wiki for the Ishi said.

Huh, weird. Guess they just wanted to roll with the lower gun calibre planned one instead.
