I thought it was Destiny at first but then I saw the War Sphinx and his armored glove and thought "Oh shit is this Halo!?" and I squealed like a little girl when I saw Cortana's chip and Chief's helmet.
I don't think the poncho is gonna actually be in the game, I think it was to follow in Bungies Destiny footsteps and add mystery to the 'figure' during the con reveal. But I'm with the artist of the poster - & I think this is kinda funny. ~have you seen the trailer??!
Indeed, apparently you even have a 90-minute oxygen supply.
Chief's cloak: Provides decent visual camo, might help keep sand out of his armor-it is airtight but John probably notes it as a side benefit if it's true, if not I'm*sigh*incorrect, although his visor seems damaged but it is just a trailer meant to get us hyped up-AND makes him look like a badass in priority of importance, and it's not one of those poser looks! (No offense intended).
its the ark look in the book silentium its even mentiond on the halo waypoint code for a audio log from the book but therse more than one ark before you say im wrong but it might be the original ark from halo 3 it said in game badly damaged not destroyed but halos design is to wipe life not structures? mabe who knows the first awakening of the didact was a similar appearance to this mentioned at the start of the book cryptum

I think that was a war-sphinx that the chief was looking at. who else would know the secrets of the didact (either Ur-didact or bornstellar didact) but these machines that serves as both steeds and guardians to a high ranking forerunner?
I think what's happened is that the chief has gone rogue, and is working with Halsey to stop the UNSC, which would be weird. But then again he could be wearing the poncho because his armour is green and the sand is brown, and the poncho is brown...either way I thought the trailer was Star Wars when it started and that the chief was a Avery large jawa....
cool, though I'm disapointed that they came out with it so quickly. Bungie's Halo games were so good because they took 4 years to make them....Halo 4 was ok, but Im not sure if I like where 343 is taking the story...
If I heard correctly, they've actually got the entire company (343i) working on Halo. So it's kind of logical for stuff to come out quickly. Also, I believe they're trying to go with a more... human approach to Master Chief/John-117. After the first three games of him being an unstoppable killing machine that the player can pretend is his/herself, they want to actually turn him into a character of his own. Give him his own identity, and that requires taking him down a few pegs from his "War God" status to a man, just a man, who has lost everything(He's already lost most of his "brothers and sisters" or the rest of the Spartan II's, now Cortana, and possibly his connection to UNSC and maybe, if the worn look of it has anything to say, his top-of-the-line armor). All this loss will put the player on an emotional roller coaster; I mean, would you want to watch your best friend loose everything near and dear to him? When he's lost everything, it's what he'll do to get it back that will define who he is. Kind of cliché, but hopefully they'll go about this tastefully. I know this is REALLY long and kind of opinion enforcing, but I hope it might give you some hope (of course it might destroy it if you don't want anything like that to happen)for the new trilogy. I for one am waiting impatiently to play, and probably cry over, Halo 5 and 6.
